First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. * AS PICTURED - 5 IMAGES * FIRST EDITION, 1923. Large 8vo. Red cloth gilt. Intact and complete, albeit with signs of age and use. The spine panel has been patched and reaffixed, somewhat crudely. Contents securely bound with all plates and maps present, as called for, and apart from the two slim fold-outs they have escaped any of the spasmodic foxing, as they are on thinner paper - neat and clean. The painstaking details recorded by the author ('Formerly of the Regiment'), together with his photographs, now have a resonance which brings the reader closer to his subject than more general, sentimental accounts. Please see accompanying images. (25% of proceeds donated to Motor Neurone Disease Research, mnda) Additional postage will be requested from buyers outside the U.K.
