Rear is also cracked exposing netting. Pages & illustrations are moderately tanned. Tearing to multiple page's edges. Text is unaffected. More pronounced tanning and foxing to free end papers and pastedowns. Boards have heavy edge-wear with substantial bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Boards are slightly bowed. Strong tanning to spine and edges.

Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Sunning to the spine, with ghosting of the jacket image in the cloth. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing.

Blue cloth-covered boards with dark blue lettering front and spine. Top edge strayed blue. 8vo. Cloth a little worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine and fade all round edges and over spine. Fore and lower text block edges a little dull. Lacks front free endpaper. Previous owner's name and address messily on first blank page which has a two short closed tears at the top, else internally neat and clean. Heather Muriel Price (1930-1972) authored at least seven children's stories, most of which are tales of family adventure.
