A fine copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "Al amigo Diego Jimenez en testimonio de sincero afecto / Andres Petit / Habana 18 Febrero 1922." Scarce Cuban guide to betting on horse races (a popular pastime in the first half of the twentieth century, before Castro came to power), including an explanation of racing terms and conventions and advice on how to analyze data (times, rider weights, course length, etc.) to pick winners and how and where to place bets. A table at the end lists records achieved at Oriental Park, a racetrack founded in Havana in 1915 and operated by the Havana-American Jockey Club of Cuba. Bibliografica Cubana #330.
