Both George A. Custer and brother Tom are listed as are all other officers that served. Arranged alphabetically. Second part is a register of all appointments by the President of the United States in the Volunteer Service during the War of the Rebellion, 1861-1865. This copy is rebound in a reddish cloth. Has the stamp of S. J. Mulhall, U. S. Army and his number 114. Very good condition and essential to any military history library from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War. This volume once belong to the well-know Ohio book dealer Eugen Sellers and has his signature and date January 15, 1936 and was vol. 870 in his personal collection. Very Scarce. A heavy book and additional postage may be necessary.
