Richard Hooker (1554-1600) was a pivotal English theologian known for his foundational work in Anglican theology, particularly through his major text, "Of the Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity." He was one of the most important English theologians of the sixteenth century. As a bonus, there is an Offprint from English Renaissance Prose, History, Language, and Politics, Medieval & Renaissance Texts & Studies, Tempe, AZ 1997, an article by P,G. Stanwood entitled Richard Hooker's Discourse and the Deception of Posterity. This is a 16 page article, (stapled to the top left corner) which is laid into the book. .
