Unframed Print. Condition: Very Good. Alexander Francis Lydon (illustrator). An original 1860 colour print, image 13 x 19 cms, from Morris' work A Series of Picturesque Views of Seats of the Noblemen & Gentlemen of Great Britain and Ireland. Together with brief accompanying text pages. Printed using the coloured woodblock process known as Baxter Printing, by Benjamin Fawcett of Driffield, these bright and attractively coloured prints are often mistaken for chromolithographs. It has been noted that the printing is so subtle that it gives the appearance of a watercolour (Friedman, 1978). The print comes with a backing card, the accompanying descriptive text and is nicely presented in a cellophane sleeve, making a perfect present. IDEAL FOR FRAMING. Illustrator: Alexander Francis Lydon. Category: Prints from Morris' Seats; PRINTS : Buildings & Places; Antique Colour Prints. Cosmo Books : 29 years on ABE, 47 years taking care of customers. Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the Gravesend Reformed Dutch Church in Brooklyn, New York. It begins with the founding of the area circa 1645 and progresses to the present day, charting the growth of not only the church, but of the town itself throughout its history. The book provides interesting insights into the Dutch founders of the town and the English who arrived after them, discussing the religious strife which occasionally occurred between the two groups. The book also discusses the various pastors who led the church, and examines the historic events that shaped the community over the years. Throughout the book, the author analyzes the church's evolution from its humble beginnings to the present day, and explores the important role that the church has played in the local community. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
