The most interesting portraits are accompanied by a description of the painting and biographies of the artist and of the sitter. Among these are a portrait of Lord Milne by Leonard Boden (1911-1999), a portrait of King Edward VII by Sir Luke Fildes (1843-1927), and a portrait of Sir Hew Ross by Sir Francis Grant (1803-1878). In a quarter cloth binding and the original paper wraps. Externally very smart, though a little sunned to the extremities, with some faint marks to the rear of the paper wrap.
