Spine missing, both boards missing, moderate overall soiling, text is age-toned and lightly foxed but complete and unmarked. This volume actually includes 15 years of the reports, from the years 1850 to 1864 inclusive. Tipped inside the front board is an inscription signed Wm Goodwin, a photo of the author and the bookplate of B. Pomeroy. Tipped in to the rear cover is a copy of the words to the song "The Flag of the Union Forever" written by Goodwin. An unusual association copy. Signed by Author(s).

Later editions speak of volume one and volume two, but there's no sign of a second volume in this, presumably first, edition. '740 songs in 30 categories', with melodies and chords.

Hardcover. xxxiv, 170p., fine presswork employing several fonts, illustrated with a monochrome folded frontis portrait of Archbishop Harsnett (resembles a brass rubbing), hardbound in 10.5x6.5 inch green cloth boards gilt and blind; textblock in excellent condition with signatures opened neatly throughout. One of a run limited to 250. Hinges sound though bearing hairline cracks, casing shows dots of card at corner-tips, spine rims each have tiny tears, pastedown sports a bookplate but a nice original one. A pleasantly designed book still in good to very good shape. 2q.
