Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (Number Line to 1). Once listed, this will be the Only signed copy for sale on the Internet. The inscription reads: 'To ________, Be of good cheer. If I can get this published, you'll get a Pulitzer! I expect great things of you. With great affection, Phil, September 24…, 1973.' You can see the covers in the photos provided. They are in very solid shape. The edges and corners look excellent. So does the spine. It has just a little crinkling at its ends. The silver lettering there is very bright. On the front, the lettering is gilt, and it too is quite bright. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout. Both covers are nicely tight as well. There is a bookplate affixed to the front inside cover, but there is no name on it. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. The pages are exceptionally clean. I'm not finding any soiling at all. That includes the inside covers and end papers. I'm not seeing any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The chapter headings are 1) General Features of Infectious Mononucleosis; 2) Heterophile Antibody and Antigens; 3) Epidemiology of Infectious Mononucleosis; 4) Epstein-Barr Virus; and 5) Perspective Is in Infectious Mononucleosis. Inscribed by Author(s).
