Die Zeitschrift 'EMMA' schrieb: 'Frau muss nicht Nonnenschülerin gewesen sein, um sich für Giorgio von Arbs Fotos in diesem Bildband zu begeistern', und die Monatszeitschrift 'Der Beobachter' ergänzte: 'Das Buch zu lesen, die Bilder zu betrachten kann selbst zu einem Stück Meditation werden - und zu einem Versuch, der Hatz der Welt, die Stille und Betrachtung entgegenzusetzen.' Ab den 1980er Jahren entstehen mehrere Serien von Buchstaben-Würfeln. Malin gestaltete gegen 100 Briefmarkenentwürfe für Liechtenstein. Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen in der Schweiz, in Liechtenstein, Frankreich, Italien, Jugoslawien, Argentinien, Malta, Deutschland, Österreich, Luxemburg und Belgien. 19861987 hielt Malin Vorlesungen zur zeitgenössischen Kunst an der Hochschule St. Gallen.
