Annotations in manuscript ink and pencil, printed mimeo snipe, date stamp, and provenance stamps and labels on the verso. Based loosely on the events of the 1861 Bascomb Affair and the 1862 Battle of Apache Pass, during which Native Americans first encountered howitzers and other modern artillery after the reigning Union government breached several existing treaties and sparked a conflict that resulted in 25 years of Apache unrest. Chandler's second performance as Cochise, following "Broken Arrow" (1950). From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Set in the New Mexico Territory during the Civil War, shot on location in Utah. 8 x 9.5 inches, trimmed irregularly. Very Good, moderately worn.

Elvis Presley plays "Johnny Tyrone," an American movie star traveling through the Middle East on a promotional tour. A gang kidnaps Johnny and hires him to carry out an assassination, so impressed by his on-screen adventures. He refuses and escapes back to civilization, but not before singing a few songs and romancing a harem girl or two. Set in the Middle East, shot on the original set of the 1927 Cecil B. DeMille film, "The King of Kings." 8 x 10 inches. A few light creases, brief toning, and a tiny corner chip to one still, else Near Fine. Hirschhorn, p. 384.
