First editions, thus, of this massive publishing achievement meticulously annotating, and editing the famed landmark in American history, superseding all previous editions of the extended manuscript narrative from the Lewis & Clark Journals, featuring in the Atlas volume 42 previously unpublished maps. Lewis & Clark, along with their "Corps of Discovery" including Sacajawea, explored 8000 miles from the mouth of the Missouri River to the mouth of the Columbia River on the Pacific and back.
