Rosemary Woodford Ganf (born 1949) illustrated all three volumes of the important limited-edition series…, 'Marsupials of Australia'; individual details are as follows. Volume 1: Possums, the Koala and Wombats, by Meredith Smith (1980). Volume 2: Carnivorous Marsupials and Bandicoots, by Meredith Smith and Heather J. Aslin (1987). Volume 3: Kangaroos, Wallabies and Rat-Kangaroos, by John Calaby and Tim Flannery (2005). This painting is not reproduced in the third volume of the series. The artist believes (from memory!) it was done as part of an exhibition at the Adelaide Zoo around 2003-04, where it may have been sold at auction to raise funds. Signed.
