The author has collected 277 songs from the Muggletonian sect and reveals, through their compelling lyrics and remarkable history, a unique perspective on religious belief and the story of England's religious and political landscape in that era. The songs provide unique insight into the theological ideas and practices that set the Muggletonians apart from other religious groups of the time. They explore themes of salvation, mortality, the nature of God, and the relationship between faith and reason. The author's comprehensive analysis brings these songs to life, offering a vivid glimpse into the beliefs and experiences of this intriguing sect, shedding light on an often-overlooked chapter in English religious history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
