Softcover. Condition: Near Fine. No. 15. Cover reproduces a postcard sent by James Joyce. Slim octavo. 83pp. Glossy wrappers with light wear, a bit of soil on the lower wrap, near fine. Prints two poems by Eugenio Montale, "The Day of the Dead" and "'I lived on the third floor in those days,'" translated by Jorie Graham and Daniel Halpern. This is, to the best of our knowledge, Graham's first appearance in print, preceding her first book by four years. Her brief bio in the rear states only that she "attended the writing program at Columbia University last year." Graham would go on to become of the great postwar American poets, and receive the Pulitzer Prize in 1996. Also prints work by Marvin Bell, William Stafford, Galway Kinnell, and Mark Jarman, among others.
