This volume is illustrated with 6 plates bound to the rear of the volume, with this volume collated complete. This particular work outlines the principles of modern chemistry, offering an insight into the level of scientific study in the turn of the 19th century. Rebacked, the original boards preserved. Written by Dr. Frederick Charles Gren, the late Professor at Halle. This particular edition has been translated from the original German, with additional notes by the translator who remains unnamed. Rebacked, with the original calf boards. Externally generally smart, with patches of rubbing to the both the front and rear boards. Light offsetting and spotting to the front and rear endpapers, with reinforced front and rear hinges. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the occasional spot heavier to the first and last pages. Very Good Indeed. book.
