This book is in fine condition. Apparently it has never been read because one would need a paper knife to split the bottoms of the uncut pages. There is a small dent in the middle of the back cover but other than that this book is near perfect. Jacket is sturdy and attractive. There is a 2" closed split along the front joint, a narrow triangular piece missing along the top edge of the back panel, a 3/4" tear in the top edge of back panel and edges are a little ruffled. Overall it is very good. Large 8vo. bound in gold stamped black cloth. Pictorial endpapers. Top edge stained red. 243 pp. Dust jacket is also black, though stamped in red First Impression of the Illustrated Edition printed October, 1927, ten years after the first edition of September 1917.
