Pages clean and bright with many illustrations. This book is an assemblage of original prints. It grew naturally from discussions with firends about a way to share them with a wider public. Francis's prints exaggerate, but after all, opera is about extremes. The text presents each plot through the eyes of his chosen character. Alfredo has no idea what his father has asked Violetta. Offman does not know that Olympia is a mechanical doll. Donna Anna does not know that Don Giovanni is her assailant etc. Signed by Authors.
