Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. A hardcover fiction in fair condition. Foxing can be seen on the edges of the text block, preliminary blanks, and occasionally on the pages. Pages are mostly clean and bright, without markings. Front hinge cracked, and one of the blank pages detached. The cover is clean and well-preserved, with no major signs of wear.

Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Pages and plates have light tanning and medium foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Water mark to rear board.

Covers ever so slightly grubby. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing to contents, mainly to margins and some grubby fingermarks but generally contents are clean.
