Forsyth…led fifty scouts at the Beecher Island fight Sep 16-25, 1868, and later commanded the 4th Cavalry, and in this book, covers those topics, as well as the 1868 Washita battle, the Great Sioux War of 1876-77, and the 1877 Nez Perce Campaign. The author writes in support of Custer, believing he did not disobey Gen. Terry's orders on the Little Big Horn campaign. Important Luther High Spot in very nice collectible condition for this book.
