One former owner name on fep, no other writing, no tears or soil in the 192pp text. Photo frontis only, no other illustrations. Author Dick Francis says of this book: "Colonel Fenwick-Palmer's sound, sensible and comprehensive manual for amateur racehorse trainers describes in accurate, step-by-step detail how to breed, buy, break, train and generally manage a small string of horses. A young man with the will and the means to train his own horses could profit at least as much from studying this book as from working as an assistant in a racing stables. I would recommend it to all beginners as a thoroughly reliable short-cut to experience".
