EPP foxed but o/w very good internally on good quality gloss paper. Pictorial d/j is not price-clipped but is lightly foxed and has a piece missing at the head of the spine resulting in loss of part of the title. The R is creased and there are a couple of closed tears.

Account of a bunch of crazy posh people who thought it would be a grand idea to fly over Mount Everest in the early 1930s with relatively basic equipment. It was there I suppose! Pretty decent looking copy with clean cloth boards although a little sun faded at the top edge… and, especially so, on the spine.Also a little slitting along the outer hinge of the back board, nothing too severe but significant enough to be worthy of a mention in this description. A little toning to the page block edges and end papers. No inscriptions. No dust jacket. Terrific copy on the whole.

There is a 2-page foreword by John Buchan. 186 pp Textured bl…ue cloth; gold lettering; frontispiece illustration with tissue guard; 37 full-page illustrations, many in colour; 91 illustrations in the text; top edge gilt; outer and lower edges uncut. The book is in very good condition throughout. There is an ex-libris bookplate of The Stewart Society on the fly-leaf but no other evidence of library ownership/use. A small address label has been pasted onto yhis bookplate. The illustrated d/w is not price-clipped. The top of the spine is worn and the white rear panel is soiled. The is a piece about one and a half inches square missing from the top corner of the front panel adjacent to the spine.

Marbled brown boards rubbed at the corners with some wear of the paper covering at one corner. Spine ends rubbed and a small black…mark part way down the spine. Internally the glossy paper remains bright and clean but 2 leaves are detached but present. F fly-leaf bears the rubber stamp of an architect's practice.
