This is monograph no. 9 in this attractive series of books published in the 1940's. The series featured well known American artists such as Charles Burchfield, Rockwell Kent and Thomas Hart Benton. As well as artists lesser known today such as Waldo Pierce, Doris Lee, Gladys Rockmore Davis and Doris Lee. I believe there were 20 monographs in the series and I have most of these listed.
