Hardcover. Condition: Very Good-. 12mo. pp vii, 656. Frontispiece and 30 additional engraved plates (complete); numerous illustrations in the text. Brick-red cloth boards with bevelled edges, decorated and lettered in gilt and black. Boards lightly rubbed and with some pale marks to front; spine slightly faded. A couple of spots to edges of text block. Previous owner's name to title page and first page of text. Pages clean apart from a couple of marks to title page. Binding firm.

Hardback, green cloth with gilt lettering on spine, black lettering on front, spine a little browned, corners a little rubbed, some spotting to preliminaries and advertisers at rear, light spots on page edges (not pages themselves) former owner's small name plate on front end-paper, otherwise text, figs and plates clean and bright.
