Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Project Specification (issue 1): A4 sheets, printed one side only, 46 pages, including illustrations (of which several are folding); including three-view, and others; loose sheets, stapled at top corner. This is the original unpublished detailed specification to continue research by students during the 1995-96 academic year for a new ASTOVL combat aircraft, following on from the original design exercise performed by R Hewson at Cranfield during 1993-4, and continued by M R Rosa during 1994-5, using current and anticipating future technologies. The powerplant was of the revolutionary Selective Bleed Variable Cycle type, also developed at Cranfield, by M A R Do Nascimento, which operates in two modes: High Pressure for supersonic flight and Low Pressure for low speed and hovering flight. The aircraft bore a remarkable similarity, with fundamental differences, to the future F-35 which is now in service with the US and British Air Forces. Together with the published report of the results, by Howard Smith. 1996: A4; 30 pages; illustrated; paper cover, in plastic loose-leaf folder; very good. This document reported the results of the research into the S-95 project, by the AVD class of 1995, at the University of Cranfield. Price is for the two documents together.
