A translation of Joseph Philippe Ferrier's original manuscript, a French soldier and later Adjutant General with the army in Persia (present day Iran) from 1839 to 1842 and again in 1846 to 1850.

Decorative marble boards and end sheet inside the covers, and decorative marbled page edges. Previous owner's gift inscription on a blank ensheet. Folded map in the back of the book.
