"Compliments of the Author" in ink at top of front wrapper. OCLC: 62420104 Farnum admired Pound's 'robust independence and instinctive aloofness from affiliatio…n with any well defined school of legal thought or philosophical movement -- phases of his pronounced originality of character and thought -- [that] render it impossible to arrange his views within the bounds of any neat and instructive cheme of classification." Farnum, like many others, was more comfortable with the later Pound than with the great reformer and proponent of sociological jurisprudence of his earlier years.
