The Diary, which Joseph Farington kept from 1793 till his death in 1821, has proved of extraordinary interest. The writer was, indeed, one of the most notable men of his era. Tight binding. the front hinge beginning to crack but all solid at present. The original blue cloth boards have various minor marks and some fading. Slight damage to top and bottom of spine. Spine somewhat faded but gilt lettering all clean. Items are dispatched the same or the following working day.
