Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. One of 975 copies (of 1000), this being the first state with 'language' misspelled on p. ix. 8vo. Quarter dark brown cloth gilt and three-quarter pictorial light brown paper-covered boards. xiv, 108pp. 'With this collection, for the first time the…three earliest works of William Everson are being made generally available; the individual books were printed in small editions and were not actively distributed. Only a small percentage of the work in this volume is included in "The Residual Years", the author's cumulative edition of his work published in 1948 by New Directions.' Spotting to the head edge and pastedowns/endpapers, the jacket slightly rubbed with tiny, unobtrusive chips at the spine ends, the lower panel somewhat marked, and with areas of spotting such as to the lower flap, but about Very Good overall. This copy has the ownership inscription of Andrew Crozier.
