      First Edition. 8vo., 66pp.; VG; bound in mustard yellow cloth, gilt lettering on spine, silver, tan, gilt, and black image on front board; some shelfwear, smudging to boards; some age-toning t endpapers; profusely illustrated; text block red; Wright is perhaps better known for his 1939 novel 'Gadsby', which was purported to have been written entirely without the letter 'e' (with only four mistakes in fifty thousand words). 'The Wonderful Fairies of the Sun' was his first book, followed by 'The Fairies That Run the World and How They Do It' (1903), and 'Thoughts and Reveries of an American Bluejacket' (1918), and ending with his fourth, 'Gadsby' (1939), published in the year of his death.
