Contains Reference to the Hundreds, scale in English Miles, compass point with fleur-de-list pointing north, and a vignette showing "Newstead Abbey, Seat of the Late Lord Byron". Measures around 8 7/8" x 10 7/8" (225mm x 277mm). The map contains several horizontal folds. There are signs of wear. Thomas Gray (26 December 1716 - 30 July 1771), was an English poet, classical scholar and professor at Cambridge University.
