Art / Print / Poster First Edition
Poster. The original announcement poster/flyer for a group show of contemporary, street-inspired abstract painting titled "Substraction" and held at Deitch Projects, NYC, March 29 - May 24, 2008. The exhibition was curated by Nicola Vassell and included six artists--Kristin Baker, Dan Colen, Rosson Crow, Elizabeth Neel, Sterling Ruby, and Aaron Young--who "fuse the scale, painterliness and frequent performance aspects of postwar abstraction with the grittiness of contemporary street and graffiti art." Single sheet of rough kraft paper, printed one side with a thick white ink, covering the entire surface with a pattern of small raised dots; 17.5 x 11.5 inches. Condition: Fine/As New, folded twice as issued. Laid-in is the gallery press release. Will be sandwiched securely between stiff layers of cardboard and shipped the next business day.
