Vintage collection of many stories, adventures, things to do (Aviation, foreign lands, wonders of nature, marvels of scienc, and holiday fun) Pages tight; clean; no markings on pages. B/w and few color illustrations throughout book. Binding includes stapling of spine. Hard cover with vine border design surrounding 9 small color boxed illustrations of airplanes, bugs, animals; flowers, birds, boad, etc. Covers rubbed on edges and corners. Minor weear and fading on covers. Outer cover portion of spine missing; Covers attached to book by cloth inner spine binding. Therefore spine creases are weakened. Previous owner name & address penciled on front inside pages opposite title page.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. This first edition is uncommon in dust jacket, which matches the book cover exactly. It is a Very Good copy due to wear to top and bottom of spine tips and edges. The book itself is internally Fine. It is wrapped in a Near Fine dust jacket. The book is brilliantly illustrated throughout. The Caldecott-winning Provensens produced the cover art, endpapers, and title page. This is one of their earliest art efforts, which preceded their first solo/duo effort: "The Fuzzy Duckling" Golden Book.
