The original price of $2.00 is still present on the front flap. DJ is well-worn, particularly along the edges and corners, with numerous chips, tears, and creases. The largest tears about 1 inc…h and the jacket also shows scuffing and soiling. Brown cloth boards underneath show edge and corner bumps, with the biggest bumping along the top edge of the front board. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Some pages had small vertical lines lightly done in pencil, these have been erased. First edition thus with the single date of 1949 appearing on the copyright page. End pages and pastedowns show some spotting and foxing due to reacting with dust jacket paper.
