There is light wear to corners and spine caps Top edges dust-dulled. The tipped in frontis is coming loose for six inches down from the top edge. Sprinkling of foxing on preliminaries. Otherwise, pages are age-toned, clean, smooth and unmarked. The binding is tight. Includes fold out pages with illustrations in full color by American illustrator John Piper. The dust jacket is in good condition with pape missing at the top edn of the spine panel , 1" closed tear on the top edge of the back panel and smaller tears and chipping across the top edges of the panels.
