Hardcover. Condition: Fine. First Edition. Hardcover. One of 350 copies printed for the Carl H. Pforzheimer Library at the University Printing House. An interesting compilation of letters exchanged between Bruce Rogers and Emery Walker, two of the most noted figures in the early 20th century world of books. Bound in quarter brown cloth over multi-colored marbled paper covered boards, with gilt tilting to spine. Composed in monotype Centaur type designed by Bruce Rogers. With a few trivial stains on the boards otherwise a fine copy. The Carl & Lily Pforzheimer Foundation book plate is affixed to the front pastedown. BOB/80425.

This is the quarter vellum edition of the 2000 Fleece Press limited edition. The colophon page states: "There are 300 copies of this book, printed in two volumes on Zerkall paper, of which 260 are quarter bound in cloth, and forty in quarter natural vellum with an extra printed section of engravings." This copy is one of the 40 quarter vellum copies, with the "extra printed section of engravings" in the second volume.
