Condition: Good. 1956. First Edition. 489 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Vol. 2. Pages are lightly tanned at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Moderate corner creasing in places. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Writing to front board. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Pencil inscription to rear pastedown. Binding remains firm. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket has light edgewear with tears and creasing. Light tanning to spine and edges. Wear marks and foxing overall.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A good quality first edition hardcover copy with marked cover and corner rub but internally crisp and clean. The spine is straight (with a little rubbing) and the binding is tight. Please see photos.
