Copyright page states Revised and Enlarged Edition with the copyright date of 1954. Original blue boards with orange text and design. Boards show minimal wear. Complimentary copy inscription on front end page. Front and rear pastedowns show cellophane tape and tape marks where apparently a cover was taped on. The rear pastedown has a built-in envelope sleeve which houses a pristine copy of the membership list of the Advertising Typographers Association of America, Inc. Pages are clean and bright, binding is tight. Some toning and foxing noted along page edges. Book would have been graded as fine condition but the tape marks on the pastedowns lower it to near fine. Exterior shows scuffing and quite a bit of foxing, front board has a small chip in the paper near the upper outside corner and blue cloth shows some spotting. Edges and corners show bumps/wear. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No other handwriting found other than the author's inscription, no bookplates, no library markings etc. Pages are toned due to age and there is quite a bit of foxing, though this is mainly on the end pages and pastedowns.
