Double page map within the text showing the waterways netwrok from Boston on the east coast t Lancster in the north west. The dustjacket has a library typw wrapper which can be removed if desired. Please note that this is not an ex-library book. Booth book and jacket are in very good clean condition. If seller scans are present they have been taken with the dustjacket wrapper in place which give a distorted view.

A mix of travel, history and bankside anecdote. Doerflinger travelled the Northern waterways in the late 1960's and the book covers a lesser known part of the canals at a time when there was still significant commercial traffic plying these waters, supplying a vibrant industry.
