Destroyer Firedrake, which incurred critical damage in the Sicilian Channel but managed to stay afloat and make its make to America to the Boston Navy Yard for repairs.

Sadly, she was later torpedoed by U211 and broke in half on Atlantic convoy duty. Only 26 of her crew of 148 were rescued in extreme weather conditions.
