Uber-scarce in the trade, being the only copy SIGNED by the author, in this case, in his shaky hand at title page, being inscribed to the previous owner, the Classics expert, Peter Morris Green. It's an unusual novel, written (interior) from an Italy hotel-room, by a protagonist who is very sick and facing death, writing about his travel. Fine-looking, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear, bright interior, unmarked. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn but for a bit of furling to top of rear flap inner and ding to rear upper tip.
