Hardcover: H 21cm x L 13.75cm. Purple dust jacket well rubbed; front flap retains publisher's printed price at top right; dj presented in an older mylar Demco protector. Maroon cloth with vibrant gilt stamped lettering to spine. Author's six-line purple ink inscription "To Edward + Louise | Hope | with appreciation, | Much Joy! | Ruby Dee | '87" on front free endpaper; inscription's purple ink does have some smudging onto dj front flap and front pastedown; interior pages are otherwise clean.
