Cloth. Condition: Fine. Excellent copy. xx, 117 pages, 38 colour illustrations. First edition. The author was better known for his studies of Chinese culture. However, en route to Shanghai, he stopped off in Bombay and was able to purchase some forty or more brilliantly coloured lithographs of gods and goddesses of the Hindu faith and these form the basis of this book. Chinese Materials Center is based in Taipei and have published a number of bona fide reprints (and original) editions of Eastern classics until they ceased trading in the late 1980s after the publishers demise. Book.
