Condition: As New. A tight, clean, and unmarked copy-" Foreword: What do the Apostle John, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, as well as Sir Winston Churchill and the 2008 US presidential candidate John McCain all have in common? They all flourished after they had reached the Biblical life expectancy of three score and ten (70). I'm in my eighth decade and filled with energy. I think I'm smarter than I used to be. Some would claim that's not saying much - and sometimes I agree! In 2007, I had a dream. I remembered the words of the prophet Joel, used as the text for the Sermon of St. Peter at the birthday of the Church; "And it shall come to pass.your old men shall dream dreams." (Joel 2:28). No, I was not sleeping. This was a wide-awake dream, and one that required action. In 2003, I retired as president of the not-for-profit Crossroads Christian Communications Inc and as chairman of the Crossroads TV System (CTS). An officially retired person needs lots of help, particularly when he has a dream to fill. Much help came from Valerie Battaglia who typed and retyped this manuscript, deciphering my handwriting as she has done for more than 30 years. I want to thank Crossroads' new president, Rev. Ron Mainse, and his team, for their moral and financial support, assisting me to cross the continent - meeting in cities and towns with ministers, priests and Christian workers. Crossroads gave me the gift of Rev. David Rutledge, its Director of Ministry Relations. David set up the luncheons, inspired and coaxed Christian leaders to attend, and made it easy for me to show up. I also want to thank Dr. Don Reimer, Sidney Harkema (a former Crossroads board member), Roy Ferguson, and Don and Fay Simmonds for donations to the cause. Thanks also to Rev. Mark Griffin who selected and "salted" 39 daily devotionals from my book, Going the Extra Smile. Editor Karen Stiller gave valuable insights on content. David Mainse.".
