This account of the first 20 years of Nequatewa's life as a boy in the remote Second Mesa village of Shipaulovi in northern Arizona is invaluable both for his descriptions of the Hopi culture, but also as an account of the personal and social changes he and his people were facing, as they came into more and more contact with the Anglo world. Frontispiece, photographs. Bibliography, index. 193 pp Ex-library with the usual markings, tape reinforcement to the spine, but overall tight and clean.
