First UK edition containing 10 of the 14 stories in the US edition which was published in 1954 under the title 'The Best Science Fiction Stories:1954' by Frederick Fell. Boards have slight bumping to the spine and corners. Page edges are browned with dark spotting to the top edges. Endpapers are browned but pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has a small closed tear to the top edge of the front panel. The rear panel has some discolouration and there is light rubbing to the corners. First printing.
