Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition, second impression, with minor corrections, September, 1937. 9 7/8" x 7 1/8", xv, 198 pages, colour frontispiece showing the Arms of the Drapers' Company, 13 plates plus illustration of Bancroft's Monument, 4 maps in text, detailed appendices. Bound in full dark blue leather, gilt lettering and lining to somewhat faded spine, lining and gilt embossed Arms of the Drapers' Company to upper board, top edges gilt. Previous owner's bookplate (Richard Summers) bookplate to page preceding frontispiece, some foxing to page edges, otherwise a handsome copy.
