Condition: Good. 1952. First Edition. 301 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Volume I. Contains black and white illustrations. Prize plate stuck to front free endpaper. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
