Trade Paperback. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. ISBN:0-395-34934-6. This fat trade sized paperback college english textbook is in good condition. The covers have some wear on the faces and around the edges and corners and the cover has a used book store sticker near the spine. The spine is tight with no creases showing on the outer spine but with some wear around its edges and some clear tape to strengthen the hinges to the front cover at the top of the spine. The pages are white with a little wear on some pages at the corners. The rest of the pages are clear with no wear or marks except a line across the bottom edges of the pages and a crossed out name inside the cover. The many selections are grouped into ten sections: What is the place of recreation in our lives? (followed by writing assignments); Do we define ourselves by our work? In what should we believe? What do the arts tell us about ourselves? How does language define our identities? What does it mean to be a woman? In what ways must we change? How should we use power? What does it mean to be independent? and Is education what it should be? There is a thorough glossary of terms used and a helpful section on keeping a journal.
