Volume 1 has an 1889 copyright date on the title page, Volume 2 has 1891, Volume 3 has 1894 and Volume 4 has 1895. All four volumes are tight and sound with all four… spines uniformly darkened and rubbed, as well as some corner wear and edge rubbing. Vol. 1 has an owners inscription and no other markings. Vol. 2, 3, and 4 have owners inscriptions as well as some newspaper clippings pasted onto the endpapers. Some uniform edge soiling to all volumes. All in all, nice tight sound copies of this scarce complete 4 volume set.
